Who you are dealing with
Indoram is the trading name of a monthly home-style tiffin service operating in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This website, indoram.in, is operated by Indoram, and Indoram is the seller of every monthly plan, trial meal and tiffin box deposit sold through it.
Indoram does not currently publish a registered company name, registered office address, GSTIN or FSSAI licence number on this website. Where any of those becomes applicable it will be published here, rather than claimed in advance.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you place a trial meal order, start a monthly subscription, or otherwise use this website. By confirming an order you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not place an order.
They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Shipping, Delivery and Service Area Policy, Tiffin Box Deposit Policy and Pricing and Payment Terms. Together those pages form the whole agreement between you and Indoram.
Who can order
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account or place an order.
- You must give a delivery address inside our service area and a mobile number we can actually reach you on.
- The information you give us must be accurate. We deliver food to a real address at a set time, so a wrong address or an unreachable number directly costs you a meal.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your signed-in account is treated as done by you.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to your account.
- You can correct your name, mobile number, email and saved addresses yourself from your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account used to abuse our staff or delivery personnel, to place orders there is no intention of paying for, or to break these terms. Where we do, we will tell you why.
What we sell
Monthly subscription
A monthly plan is a fixed meal allowance, not a fixed number of calendar days. You choose lunch, dinner or both, and a start date. We generate your delivery calendar from that choice and our delivery schedule, and we show you the exact end date before you pay.
Because of this, a lunch-only subscription lasts roughly twice as long as a lunch-and-dinner subscription for the same price. The meal allowance, the price and the end date for your choices are always shown on the plans page and again at checkout.
Trial meal
A trial meal is a single thali on one date, in one meal slot. It does not start a subscription, it never converts into one by itself, and no tiffin box deposit is charged on it.
Prices, offers and taxes
- The price that applies to you is the one shown on the plan and checkout pages at the moment you order. We never take a price from your browser — every amount is calculated on our server from the plan, your delivery area and our published charges.
- A price change creates a new version of the plan. A subscription you have already paid for keeps the price you bought it at for its whole run.
- Limited-time offers are shown on the plan with the date and time they end. When an offer ends, the regular price applies to new orders.
- No separate tax is added at checkout today. If tax becomes applicable, the amount shown at checkout will still be the full amount payable. Nothing is added after you see the total.
- Delivery is free in the areas marked for free delivery on our delivery areas page. Any delivery charge that applies to your area appears as its own line in the total before you pay.
The refundable tiffin box deposit
Meals are delivered in a reusable tiffin box. A refundable deposit is collected for it, charged once per customer and shown as a separate line at checkout. It is not part of the plan price and it is not revenue to us: it is money we hold on your behalf. The detail is in the Tiffin Box Deposit Policy.
Where we deliver
We deliver in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and nowhere else. Your address is checked against our service area before an order is accepted, and we also need a kitchen with capacity that can reach you. If either check fails we say so plainly and offer to call you back. We do not take an order or a payment for a delivery we cannot make. See the Shipping, Delivery and Service Area Policy.
Your delivery week and meal times
Our current schedule, which you can also see on the plan page before you pay, is:
| Day | Meals served |
|---|---|
| Monday to Saturday | Lunch and dinner |
| Sunday | Lunch only |
Lunch is served around 12:30 PM and dinner around 8:00 PM, Indian Standard Time. These are target times for a delivery round, not guaranteed minute-by-minute slots: traffic, weather and the number of stops on a round all move them. The times and skip cutoffs shown on the plan page and at checkout are the current ones, and they are what applies if they ever differ from this page.
Skipping a meal, and meal credits
- You can ask us to skip a meal from your account, or by phone. Each meal slot has a cutoff of 4 hours before its service time — so by about 8:30 AM for lunch and 4:00 PM for dinner, Indian Standard Time.
- Before the cutoff: the meal is cancelled and one meal credit is added to your balance.
- After the cutoff: the meal is still cancelled, so nothing is cooked and wasted, but no credit is given, because the food is already being prepared.
- The cutoff that applied is recorded on your request, so a later change to our cutoffs never rewrites a decision already made.
- A repeated or double-submitted skip for the same meal returns the original decision. It cannot create a second credit.
A meal credit is not money. It is one meal added to your allowance. It can be used to extend that subscription while the subscription is active. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for cash, and credits left on a subscription that is cancelled or has finished are closed out. Credits currently carry no fixed expiry date; your account page always shows your balance and any expiry that applies to it.
When your subscription starts, runs and ends
- It starts on the start date you chose, and only after your payment has been verified. Until then the order exists but nothing is active.
- It runs until the meal allowance you paid for has been delivered or otherwise accounted for. The expected end date is shown before you pay and on your account page.
- There is no auto-renewal. We do not set up a recurring payment mandate, we do not store your card for future use, and nothing is charged to you automatically when a subscription ends. To continue, you place a new order.
- If a subscription reaches its end date with meals still unserved, it is marked expired and our team reviews it with you.
Pausing and cancelling
You can request a pause or a cancellation from your account, or by phone. On a pause, the meals inside the paused period are cancelled and the meals you are still owed are rescheduled after it, so you keep the allowance you paid for. Cancellation and refund terms are in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Payment and payment status
- Every amount is calculated by us. Your browser sends identifiers — a plan, an address, meal slots, a start date — never a price.
- An order is not treated as paid because a payment screen said so. We verify it on our own server against the payment provider, and we check that the amount and the currency match your order exactly before anything is activated.
- If the amount received does not match the order, nothing is activated. The order is held for a person to review and we contact you.
- An order that is never paid is cancelled after 48 hours, so the kitchen capacity held for you is released.
How you can pay today, and what changes when online payment goes live, is set out in the Pricing and Payment Terms.
Failed, pending and duplicate payments
- Failed: nothing is activated and nothing is owed. You can try again from the order page.
- Pending: the order stays unpaid and we keep checking with the provider until it settles one way or the other, so a dropped confirmation cannot leave you paying without a subscription.
- Duplicate: a repeated confirmation for the same payment is recognised and ignored. It cannot create a second order, a second subscription or a second charge. If you are genuinely charged twice, tell us and the extra payment is refunded under the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Food, ingredients and allergies
Meals are home-style thalis cooked fresh each day, and the menu changes. They are prepared in kitchens that handle a range of ingredients, including common allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any meal is free of a particular ingredient or of cross-contact with one.
If you have a food allergy or a medical dietary restriction, please speak to us on 7247603302 before you subscribe. We would rather tell you honestly whether we can accommodate it than guess.
Please refrigerate or eat your meal promptly after it is delivered.
Things outside our control
We may be unable to deliver during events we do not control: a strike or bandh, a curfew or road closure, severe weather or flooding, a power or water failure at a kitchen, a public-health order, or the failure of a service we depend on. Where a meal is missed for such a reason we will tell you and credit the meal. We are not liable beyond that for the disruption itself.
Support and complaints
Raise anything with us by phone, through the contact form, or from Support inside your account. We aim to acknowledge messages within one working day. If a reply has not resolved your issue, say so in the same conversation and ask for it to be escalated: it then goes to whoever is responsible for that area rather than back into the queue.
Changes to the service, prices and these terms
We may change our menu, delivery schedule, meal times, service area, charges and these terms. Changes apply to orders placed after the change. A subscription you have already paid for keeps its price and its meal allowance. Where a change materially affects a running subscription we will tell the affected customers. The date this page was last updated is shown at the foot of it.
Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are not affected.
Subject to that, and so far as the law allows:
- Our responsibility for a meal that is missed, late or not as described is to credit or refund that meal, as set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- Our total liability arising out of an order is limited to the amount you actually paid for that order, plus any refundable deposit we hold for you.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost earnings or a lost opportunity, arising from a missed or late delivery.
